Kristen Nethen
Kristen Nethen is a graphic designer and letterer living in Florida. She
has a penchant for packaging and a love for lettering and calligraphy.
Although her work is small in comparison to others, her passion for design,
packaging and all things beautiful drive her goals forward. Temp Type is a
blog based on the idea of type or typography being temporary. We live in a
modern, ephermal world, where life is not forever, and thus makes
everything we create that much more precious. Temp Type is about the now,
and focuses on the temporary being of a material item, which overtime can
outlast and reinvent itself. Consider how many doodles and drawings have
ended up as scrap in the can, and sometimes as with life; things can be
that: simply discarded. But here and there....those very things get taken
out, and reused.
